Dissecting Curren$y's Style

This summer, the rap game is all abuzz about Shante Scott Franklin, April 4, 1981, better known by his stage name Curren$y. But the New Orleans bred rapper's fashion game has also been proper.

In the photograph above, Curren$y poses in dope black tee designed by Billionaire Boys Club, a luxury clothing established by Pharrell Williams and Nigo, founder of clothing label Bathing Ape, a.k.a BAPE. And below the rapper dons a BAPE camouflage pullover, red Addidas throwback track pants,  some black HUF The Plant Life Boxers, a snapback to finish off the look.

He's got a simple swag about him. Earlier this month the Jet Life Records captain was featured in The Source Magazine reflecting on the nearly twenty projects he's put out since his debut in 2008. Curren$y stays true to the streets with his mixtapes, releasing music via Twitter or wherever he likes. He told The Source, "As an artist, you got 10 tracks to say, 'this my song for the bitches...this my song for the dead homies...'"  But while most acknowledge his music stays true to the streets, we are UrbFash recognize that so do his clothes.
