McDonald's Goes Mad Men with its Uniforms

Just in time for the Summer 2012 Olympics in London, fast food chain McDonalds is  rolling out a new uniform that takes its' inspiration from the 1960s. Its all about putrid colors like "mustard-colored" skinny ties and like "lettuce green" pants.

Taking inspiration from both the "Mad Men"-era and casually elegant Italian bistros, the new uniforms were designed by fashion iconic designer, Wayne Hemingway.
Hemingway's new designs swap out baseball caps for the kind of pageboy hats, completely revamping the uniforms and "de-Americanizing" the uniform's look.

In the fall, the uniforms will then be rolled out to McDonald’s 87,500 employees across the UK.

After 18 months in the making, the new uniforms have been created by Wayne Hemingway and his design team as part of McDonald’s continued investment in its restaurants and its employees. The uniform design aims to complement the colours of McDonald’s re-designed, modern restaurants across the England.

Wonder if this chic looking uniform will make its way to the US....
