Vans Debuts Summer 2012 California Collection

These are the boldest Vans sneakers I've ever seen. And I'm in love. These shoes are ridiculously amazing. They're really comfortable and breezy.... just what you need to stay swagged out in these hot months.

Vans California Washed Canvas Authentic Sneaker, seen left,  are part of the premium Vans California collection which features kicks with the iconic Vans low top updated with washed and faded canvas uppers, logos on the side and back, and signature midsole stripe. They retail for about $70.

Aside from the premium California Collection, Vans keeps putting out funky, fly sneakers that fit my urban hipster lifestyle.

So earlier this month, we told you about how the Hawaiian or tropical theme was trending this summer. Well more evidence of this comes with the Vans "Aloha Rata Vulc Sneaker" (pictured below). I got a chance to check them out and try them on at Urban Outfitter in Los Angeles and they are tough!

The updated moc-toe sneaker from Vans is part of the casual, comfortable, eco-friendly Vans Surf collection.  They feature woven uppers with Hawaiian print detailing  and contrast flat woven laces.  The insides have a soft molded EVA Vanslite sockliner. On the bottom is a vulcanized rubber sole with waffle tread.

What makes these even cooler is that they're manufactured using Earth-friendly water-based inks and glues.

Since 1966, Vans has been at the heart of skateboarding. That tradition continues with these swaggerlicious Vans Van Doren Slip-On Parrot Sneaker. These canvas kicks stay true to the brand while keeping  you current. I will most certainly be getting a pair. You can check out the rest of the  Vans California Collection online at
