Seasoned alternative band, Going to the Sun, is set to release a brand new album, "Love Letters From The Western Gate." It will be their first full-length album in nearly 6 years. The album is filled with memorable melodies, yearning heartache, and anthemic resilience.
The group's sound is truly unique. Its a sexy mix of earthy-acoustic-playful-electric-pop-rock, lush harmonies that give me a cross of the Plain White T's and the Beach Boys, and truly rad instrumentation.

A standout from the new album is Hopeful Song -- its an upbeat and inspiring medley calling for faith, hope, and positive affirmations. As we face a pandemic and uncertain economic times, its good to hear people making music that send out a message of hoping its all gonna be alright. The song's lyrics are timely -- "somebody sing a song of better days to come."
Going to the Sun is a homegrown band from America's heartland. The band's members grew up in a small mountain-town in Minnesota, and their sound is a product of the culture of the Twin Cities. Their music has been licensed by NBC, ABC, CBS, ESPN, MTV, NPR, TPT, Discovery, Subaru, amongst others, and their music has been played on over 150 independent radio stations.
