Review: Coldswell -- 'Dark Eyes' off the album Void Calls

Coldswell's new single, Dark Eyes, off the album "Void Calls". The single samples the rock band's fresh approach to some classic genres.  Coldswell's unique musical delivery gives the song a life all it's own. The drums, guitars, and vocals all paint a of three guys jumping around, having fun, making great music on MTV in the 1990s.

Lush with addictive progressions, an aggressive and catchy vocal approach, and an almost 90's alt undertone, Coldswell's music boasts the aesthetic of alternative rock anthems of the great bands that came before them, like Green Day and Nirvana.

The single speaks volumes for helping listeners get a real understanding of where Coldswell is  headed on the album "Void Calls", and it should be heard in its entirety. "I think we have grown as songwriters by not keeping all of our influences away from the project. The songs have a little bit of each of us in them and they show off what kind of music we like and what that music means to us. The crunchy guitars can be found throughout the record, and the self reflective, introspective lyrics are seen in every track" says the band of creating the record.

Coldswell began as the product of brainchild vocalist and guitarist Evan Krise. As the project came to fruition, he quickly realized he wanted this to be performed in a live setting. Reaching out to his brother, drummer Brandon Krise along with bassist Ian Hudson, the lineup was solid. The Void Calls album is a testament to where they are at with their sound right now.
