2 Chainz Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges; Sentenced to Rehab
36-year-old rapper 2 Chainz has pleaded GUILTY to misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance in a case filed after he was arrested last year at LAX
after airport officials reported finding ingredients for the cough-syrup-based concoction known as "sizzurp" in his checked baggage, according to the Associated Press.
District attorney's spokeswoman Jane Robison says the rapper, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, was sentenced Monday to an 18-month drug diversion program, and a felony drug possession charge was dropped.
According to the terms of the plea deal, the charges against the Grammy-nominated rapper, best known for his hits "Birthday Song," ''I'm Different" and "Feds Watching., will be dropped if he successfully completes the program.
