Austin Arndt, better known as YT ( a stylized version of his nickname ‘Whitey’) is a rapper, producer, sound engineer and entrepreneur. But what's most cool about him, is that he's also a recovering addict. The gifted artist masterfully channels his creativity into making recovery music to help himself and others cope.
His newly released album, "Into The D.A.R.K.NESS," is a dark, heavy metallic sounding collection of rap songs. My two favorite tracks, "Run" and "Runnin a Muck" have a 2020 feel but give me Beastie Boys vibe. The use of piano, and strings and strong chant like lyrics gives "Run" an anthem feel.
