D.C. based rapper, Lil Dream, started making waves in the industry after he released his last project, "86 Nights" and made appearances on BBC Radio 1, Elevator, and Apple Music’s “The New DMV” playlist. The buzz behind Dream's music and flow are getting him attention beyond the DMV area. He's even gotten props from national artists including Grammy-nominated rapper GoldLink.
His new project is dope. "Sink or Swipe" shows off his multifaceted musical talents. On top of being a skilled rapper, he's also a producer-- in fact, he mixed and mastered the whole album.
My favorite song from Dream's new project is "P.O.H." The chorus is as infectious as the coronavirus and his lyrics are as sick as the bird flu. Perhaps its his don't give a fuck attitude mixed with a persistence to rise to the top that makes this song bound to be an anthem.
I'm on the pursuit of the happiness
And I know
some niggas ain't ride
Some niggas gon' probably fold
But I'll be fine once I get rich
I'll be good.
