'Alias Wayne Delivers an Emotional and Reflective New Project, 'Firebrand'

Alias Wayne is a "fun side project" of singer/songwriter Ranzel X Kendrick. Firebrand is the third release under the name Alias Wayne, following 2019's release Snafu and 2020's Faux Pas.

Each of the 6 songs on the EP have a unique feel. Radiation Town is a soulful country number that talks about people working together.  It touches on some of the current political, environmental, and social issues. Joan of Ottawa is a reflective, upbeat song about Wayne's "Juliet". The Young and the Brave is an emotional, classic rock feeling song that evokes the style of Elton John. It's written in memory and honor of  the men and women who are "laying your life on the line" for our freedom. Fixin to Die Rag  is an upbeat, fun dance tune. Give Me My Freedom asks "what are you willing to do for your freedom." It has a Lenny Kravitz vibe.  The last song is entitled, Real World, which in this year, is a scary place to live in. But Kendrick/Wayne delivers an inspirational performance. "All men are equal created by God." "Firebrand" is a must stream.

The only son of Texas ranch-family parents, Ranzel X Kendrick's passion for music started in grade school when multi-Grammy winner and Country Western legend “uncle” Roger Miller started giving tips on his songwriting. As a teen, Kendrick and his high school drummer buddy often jammed with Miller when he was in town.

Kendrick has since written a delightful catalog of original songs including the 3-album "Texas Series." Each album features a variety of production styles: from solo guitar and vocal to simple rhythm sections, to more intricate full instrumentation and more.
